I hold a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Texas State University and have over three years of teaching experience working with students of varying ages and skill levels. My goal is to help each student become a confident, independent musician through thoughtful instruction, consistent practice, and a genuine appreciation for music.
My teaching style is best described as that of a coach; I encourage students, celebrate their progress, and create an enjoyable learning environment, while also holding them to high standards. Learning an instrument requires patience, discipline, and commitment, and I believe students gain the most confidence when they see themselves making meaningful progress.
Lessons are tailored to each student's goals and abilities, and may include:
